Wings & Wolves

Let us introduce you to nature’s most fascinating four-legged and feathered predators. Haliburton Forest and Yours Outdoors have partnered with the Royal Canadian Falconry to offer this live animal experience. Hosted at Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre, this ~2 hr program will start with an introduction and education session about the resident wolf pack. Learn more about these elusive and beautiful predators while viewing them through the one-way glass of the observatory.

Next meet a variety of aerial predators up close. Learn about the different ways in which different raptor species hunt and pursue their prey. Meet an American Kestrel, Peregrine hybrid, Gyrfalcon, Red-tailed hawk and of course, the wolves of the sky- the Harris’ hawk.

This program is perfect for animal lovers to see and learn about wolves and birds of prey up close. Best suited for ages 12+ as 2 hours can be a long period for young ones to sit/stand and listen for the presentations.
