With over 100 lakes full of natural and stocked fish populations, Haliburton Forest is an ice fisherman’s dream backwoods destination for lake trout, brookies and rainbows. Half day experiences are bookable online, please contact us for full day fishing excursions.
Avid outdoorsman and lifelong angler Steve Lukacic will guide you on the many fishable lakes and 400kms of snowmobile trails throughout Haliburton Forest’s 100,000+ acre property. If you’re new to ice fishing and don’t own a snowmobile or have the budget to rent one, lake access on foot or via snowshoes can also be arranged. When you submit your booking request please indicate your preferred means of transportation.
For experienced and adventurous anglers, snowmobiles are required to access many of the most remote backcountry lakes. You can bring your own snowmobile or ATV or rent a snowmobile from Haliburton Forest. Click here for rental information. Please note rentals are more readily available on weekdays.
Sustainability is a founding principle of the guided fishing experience at Haliburton Forest. We have an active fisheries management program to ensure that there will be great fishing for many years to come.
